Office and Production Assistant

Chesterfield, Michigan
  • Handle administrative, secretarial duties for plastic injection molding manufacturer.
  • Answer telephones
  • Filing, receive mail, send mail.
  • Receive PO’s and Order Releases from Customers. File PO’s and  releases.
  • Communicate Customer orders and releases to the Production Team.
  • Communicate with Suppliers and Vendors for scheduling and taking care of Services needed, Ordering of materials and supplies, etc.
  • Manage Customer Contact and Supplier Contacts Data Bases and information.
  • Manage Inventory and Order Supplies and Materials.
  • Assist in developing and improving company Systems, Paperwork, Employee Information, etc.
  • Computer skills required. Will create spreadsheets, presentations, checklists, work instructions, others. Will communicate with Suppliers and Customers.
  • Manage Incoming Materials and Services (schedule, order, verify receipt of material or service, proper inventory of materials, file paperwork, etc).
  • Manage Outgoing deliveries (schedule transportation of deliveries, manage delivery paperwork, manage delivery paperwork, verify outgoing deliveries for accuracy and qty, etc).
  • Oversee Employee Staffing and Attendance. Recruit employees, oversee training, oversee attendance and performance, schedule employees, receive employee calls and requests.
  • Any other Administrative, Secretarial tasks and projects as needed by Management.
  • Prefer Production and/or Manufacturing background, but not necessary.
  • Must be organized, reliable, good computer skills, good communication skills (phone, emails, letters, etc)
