Job Summary:
A Civil Engineer is needed for a direct hire position to support a variety of engineering functions, including the design, analysis, and oversight of infrastructure projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, field engineers, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet all design and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings with governmental agencies, utility representatives, and local stakeholders.
- Develop and review engineering designs for various projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate designs with overall project objectives.
- Conduct site assessments, surveys, and data collection to support planning and design.
- Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, and project reports.
- Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Utilize GIS applications to enhance accuracy in field data.
- Provide technical support to field teams.
- Engage in regulatory and permitting activities to maintain compliance with relevant guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- 0-4 years of civil engineering experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with familiarity in ArcGIS preferred.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects effectively.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Interpret sketches, drawings, and project documentation.
- Primarily office-based role with occasional travel or fieldwork as required.
