The Electrical Maintenance Manager is responsible for crew safety, environmental compliance, productivity, profitability, employee retention, and customer satisfaction within the business unit. Assist in management of all company activities as a collaborative member of the management team.
PRINICIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the implementation of business unit safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals
• Maintains interpersonal relationships with individuals both external and internal to the organization
• Be an active participant of developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism
• Develops employees to maximize performance potential
• Responsible for supervising others in a union environment
• Responsible for enforcement of rules, policies, or expectations, etc.
• Responsible for the implementation of crew/turn safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred but not required
• Heavy industrial experience in an operating discipline
• Proficient in troubleshooting
• Proficient in PLC knowledge to use in troubleshooting control issues
• Understanding of power distribution systems
• Some understanding of instrumentation and calibration of electronics
• Strong safety experience
• Familiar with maintaining computerized maintenance management systems
• Team Leading experience that demonstrates effective planning skills and an ability to manage and develop people
• Demonstrated organizational skills and presence through a track record of accomplishments
• Demonstrated capability to achieve results through people, technology and processing equipment
• Good knowledge of the assigned area of responsibility
• Ability to function within a matrix organization in which functional and business leaders have equal authority within the organization and employees report to both a functional leader and a business leader
• Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with both a functional and business leader, who collaborate on employee issues and decisions (including performance management, compensation and development)
