Tool & Die Maker – Afternoon Shift
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for the afternoon shift. This role is responsible for supporting production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing tools and dies to ensure efficiency and quality.
Shift: Afternoon Shift (3PM – 11PM)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize transfer and line dies both in and out of the press as needed.
- Operate tool room equipment and machinery with precision.
- Support press setup and efficiency to meet production expectations.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
- Use root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure product quality meets print specifications.
- Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
- Handle wastewater as required, following environmental training guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and Kaizen processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that align with company goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation for dies, details, and part prints.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Experience using computers and productivity machinery such as control panels.
- Ability to interpret CMM or gaging data and adjust tooling accordingly.
- Five years of experience in metal stamping, prototype, tool and die building, or die repair.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Work involves standing, sitting, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion tasks.
- Requires excellent manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds frequently.
- Manufacturing environment with continuous noise exposure.
- Must be available for necessary overtime.
