Tool & Die Maker – Afternoon Shift 

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for the afternoon shift. This role is responsible for supporting production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing tools and dies to ensure efficiency and quality.

Shift: Afternoon Shift (3PM – 11PM)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize transfer and line dies both in and out of the press as needed.
  • Operate tool room equipment and machinery with precision.
  • Support press setup and efficiency to meet production expectations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Use root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure product quality meets print specifications.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
  • Handle wastewater as required, following environmental training guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and Kaizen processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that align with company goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation for dies, details, and part prints.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Experience using computers and productivity machinery such as control panels.
  • Ability to interpret CMM or gaging data and adjust tooling accordingly.
  • Five years of experience in metal stamping, prototype, tool and die building, or die repair.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Work involves standing, sitting, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion tasks.
  • Requires excellent manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds frequently.
  • Manufacturing environment with continuous noise exposure.
  • Must be available for necessary overtime.
