Veterinarian – Small Animal Practice
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Flexible hours, 15-minute appointments
Compensation: Salary + 15–20% of revenue generated
Benefits: Paid time off (3 weeks after 6 months), Paid lunch breaks

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join a high-volume, well-established small animal practice. This role focuses on providing quality care to primarily small breed pets in a supportive environment with no after-hours emergencies and no exotic animal care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions in animals

  • Perform surgeries including spays, neuters, and declaws

  • Conduct routine check-ups and administer vaccinations

  • Prescribe medications and create treatment plans

  • Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care

  • Maintain detailed medical records and collaborate with veterinary support staff

  • Provide compassionate euthanasia services when necessary

  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent

  • Active state veterinary license

  • Strong clinical knowledge and surgical experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and manage time effectively

  • Compassionate and client-focused approach

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialty experience (surgery, dentistry, dermatology, etc.)

  • Emergency or critical care background

  • Board certification in a veterinary specialty

Practice Highlights:

  • High-volume clinic with 4 vet techs per veterinarian

  • No emergency call coverage

  • No pocket pets, rabbits, or long-term boarding

  • 15-minute appointment model focused on building strong client relationships

  • Less than 5% of patients are reptiles or birds

  • Ortho cases and complex surgeries referred out
