The IT Technician is part of a team responsible for supporting approximately 600+ Windows users, PCs, and printers. This role operates within the support organization, providing day-to-day user support, after-hours on-call rotations, computer hardware and software support, and network support.
Duties:
Serve as first contact for all end user hardware/software issues
Offer technical support on-site or via phone, remote assistance software, or email
Answer support requests through online help desk ticketing software
Create and deploy PC images to support various computer hardware and departments
Install new PCs and other peripherals
Troubleshoot end user connectivity issues
Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on end user computers
Maintain software and hardware inventory lists
Work with third-party vendors on equipment warranty repairs and returns
Assist with server software and hardware issues
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical work experience
3+ years of experience in Windows operating systems (7, 10, 11)
2+ years of experience in PC hardware support
Familiarity with TCP/IP networking
Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical individuals
Good troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated customer interaction skills and teamwork competencies
Good verbal and written communication skills
