Job Title: IT Technician

Location: Onsite – No hybrid
Start Time: 7:30 AM
Pay: Based on experience
Type: 90-Day Contract-to-Hire

The IT Technician is part of a team responsible for supporting approximately 600+ Windows users, PCs, and printers. This role operates within the support organization, providing day-to-day user support, after-hours on-call rotations, computer hardware and software support, and network support.

Duties:

  • Serve as first contact for all end user hardware/software issues

  • Offer technical support on-site or via phone, remote assistance software, or email

  • Answer support requests through online help desk ticketing software

  • Create and deploy PC images to support various computer hardware and departments

  • Install new PCs and other peripherals

  • Troubleshoot end user connectivity issues

  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on end user computers

  • Maintain software and hardware inventory lists

  • Work with third-party vendors on equipment warranty repairs and returns

  • Assist with server software and hardware issues

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical work experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Windows operating systems (7, 10, 11)

  • 2+ years of experience in PC hardware support

  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking

  • Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical individuals

  • Good troubleshooting skills

  • Demonstrated customer interaction skills and teamwork competencies

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
