JOB SUMMARY:
A multifaceted utility and telecommunications engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the team. This role involves designing, analyzing, and overseeing various engineering projects while working closely with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with scope, timelines, and regulatory requirements.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in meetings with governmental agencies, utility representatives, local offices, and residents

  • Develop and review engineering designs for a variety of infrastructure projects

  • Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and other stakeholders to align engineering plans with project goals

  • Conduct site assessments, surveys, and data collection to inform project planning

  • Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, and progress reports

  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and adherence to quality standards

  • Use GIS applications to support and verify field data accuracy

  • Provide technical support to field teams as needed

  • Engage in regulatory and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

  • Perform other job duties as assigned by management

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program

  • 0–4 years of experience in civil engineering

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and ArcGIS preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Interpret sketches, drawings, and other technical materials

  • Primarily office-based with potential travel or fieldwork as needed

  • Compensation based on experience
