Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)
Location: Fort Wayne, IN (On-Site)
Assignment Type: Contract 
Hours: 40 hours/week | OT expected


Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support a busy manufacturing facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations on the production floor.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment using sound techniques and repair methodology.

  • Support production operations, including maintenance of hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

  • Select materials and operate tools and equipment such as voltage and amp measuring devices.

  • Interpret blueprints, equipment specifications, and schematics.

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance inspections.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all company procedures and safety regulations.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with welding, sheet metal fabrication, and pipe fitting.

  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

  • Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.

  • Basic computer skills and strong oral/written communication abilities.

  • Willingness to work overtime and maintain shift flexibility.


Additional Requirements:

  • Background check and drug screening required prior to start.

  • This position is fully on-site; remote or hybrid work is not available.
