Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: $26 – $30/hour (based on experience)
Type: Contract (through 12/31/2025), On-site

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations at a Fort Wayne production facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of industrial equipment, including CNC lathes and warm forge presses.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines, presses, and other production equipment.

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment according to codes and blueprints.

  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions, replace faulty parts, and ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

  • Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.

  • Document maintenance activities and parts usage.

  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and plant personnel to resolve issues and improve processes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (knowledge of AC/DC drives, servo motors, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls).

  • Ability to read and work from hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.

  • Effective communication skills and basic computer proficiency.

  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to shift needs.

Preferred:

  • Strong electrical skillset, though candidates with mechanical strengths will also be considered.

  • Experience troubleshooting CNC machines and mechanical presses.
