Job Title: Planner – Utility
Job Type: Full-Time

Overview:
We are seeking a Planner – Utility to support the design and planning of overhead and underground power distribution systems. The role involves using computer systems and software applications to provide design services for utility clients, while collaborating with internal teams, customers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design solutions for overhead and underground power distribution systems based on client specifications

  • Participate in project meetings with clients, customers, and project teams

  • Conduct field visits to support job scoping and ensure compliance with design standards

  • Interpret map-based data using platforms such as ESRI or Google Earth

  • Advise customers and contractors on standards for new or upgraded service requirements

  • Write construction orders for overhead and underground secondary jobs

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in technical or design field preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical utility planning preferred

  • Experience with overhead and underground power distribution design preferred

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external personnel

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with some field work as required

  • Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, and building programs
