Die Repair Technician – 2nd & 3rd Shift

Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, overtime expected

Shifts Available:

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Overview:
We are seeking Die Repair Technicians to join our Twinsburg manufacturing facility. In this role, you will repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies to original specifications while operating all associated machines and equipment. This on-site, hands-on role requires precision, technical skill, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve production tooling issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive instructions and guidance from Team Leader or Supervisor.

  • Transport, clean, disassemble, repair, and reassemble casting and trim dies using lift trucks, die cleaning equipment, and cranes as necessary.

  • Build and replace segments, cores, details, and parts from blueprints using required tools and equipment.

  • Draw, polish, or grind die cavity surfaces using required tools or equipment.

  • Make repairs, remove stuck castings, correct dimensional problems, and change cores and trim punches while dies are mounted on machines.

  • Perform welding duties in the foundry and Die Repair Department.

  • Troubleshoot production tooling problems and perform maintenance as needed.

  • Complete forms, die work orders, pictorials, sign-offs, and records accurately.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Train new employees as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient operation of the tool and die repair department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree, trade or technical school, or journeyman certificate preferred.

  • Up to 2 years of experience in die repair or related field; candidates without minimum experience must complete on-the-job training. Tool & Die Repair Journeyman certification is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Skilled in polishing, grinding, building, and repairing die components.

  • Welding experience preferred.

  • Ability to train and mentor new employees.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay up to $32/hr depending on experience and interview.
