Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Job Description
As a Die Setter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently setting and removing molds, dies, and lead changeover activities. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up efficient, safe, and timely mold changes.
- Ensure molds are set safely and according to current industry standards.
- Perform timely mold changes according to the production schedule.
- Communicate and coordinate manufacturing requirements with other shifts.
- Communicate with the Shift Supervisor regarding pending mold and color changes.
- Receive the scheduled job lineup and prepare molds, workstations, and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform continuous housekeeping during mold setting and removal.
- Ensure molds, tools, and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment as needed.
- Follow proper safety procedures during all mold changes.
- Maintain a safe work environment for all employees working around the mold set.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, and climb stairs.
- Ability to use hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment.
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
