Job Title: Maintenance Manager (CNC)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead and manage all maintenance activities in a CNC manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring safe operations, overseeing preventive maintenance, and driving continuous improvement of maintenance systems for machinery, production equipment, and the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment & Machinery Maintenance
Oversee maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of CNC machines (mills, lathes, multi-axis, Swiss, etc.) and supporting production equipment.
Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and equipment life.
Coordinate machine installations, upgrades, rebuilds, and relocations.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve machine reliability.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, PM schedules, and equipment histories.
Facility & Building Maintenance
Manage building systems including HVAC, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and fire protection.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building regulations.
Coordinate contractors and service providers for facility projects and repairs.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, train, and develop maintenance technicians and electricians.
Assign daily work, prioritize maintenance activities, and manage emergency repairs.
Set clear expectations for safety, quality, and performance.
Conduct performance evaluations and support skills development.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities follow OSHA and company safety policies.
Lead lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and safety improvement initiatives.
Support audits and inspections related to safety, quality, and compliance.
Budgeting & Continuous Improvement
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including spare parts and capital expenditures.
Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and equipment upgrades.
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a CNC or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience managing preventive maintenance programs.
Working knowledge of OSHA and LOTO procedures.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Technical degree or certification in Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with CMMS systems.
PLC troubleshooting experience.
Experience in automotive, aerospace, or precision machining environments.
Physical & Work Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and respond to emergency maintenance needs.
Occasional off-shift or weekend support as required.
