Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Milling Manager to lead and oversee milling operations within a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing personnel, processes, and equipment to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, hands-on machining knowledge, and experience in complex multi-axis machining.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily milling department operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow

  • Oversee programming, setup, and operation of CNC milling equipment

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, cycle times, and quality

  • Support complex machining projects, including aerospace components

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on new product launches and process improvements

  • Review NC programs and ensure proper documentation and revision control

  • Mentor and develop milling team members

  • Monitor machine utilization, tooling, and maintenance needs

Required Qualifications

  • Previous management or leadership experience in a machining or milling environment

  • Aerospace manufacturing background strongly preferred

  • Strong NC software experience (required)

  • 5-axis milling experience (required)

  • Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage production priorities

Technical Skills

  • CNC milling operations and programming

  • Multi-axis machining (5-axis)

  • NC programming software

  • Process optimization and tooling strategies
