Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Milling Manager to lead and oversee milling operations within a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing personnel, processes, and equipment to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, hands-on machining knowledge, and experience in complex multi-axis machining.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily milling department operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow
Oversee programming, setup, and operation of CNC milling equipment
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, cycle times, and quality
Support complex machining projects, including aerospace components
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on new product launches and process improvements
Review NC programs and ensure proper documentation and revision control
Mentor and develop milling team members
Monitor machine utilization, tooling, and maintenance needs
Required Qualifications
Previous management or leadership experience in a machining or milling environment
Aerospace manufacturing background strongly preferred
Strong NC software experience (required)
5-axis milling experience (required)
Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Proven ability to lead teams and manage production priorities
