Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector – 2nd Shift (Contract-to-Hire)
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, 2nd Shift | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. The Quality Assurance Inspector ensures that all products meet the highest quality standards before release. The ideal candidate has experience in QA/QC, quality management, and the ability to analyze and interpret data accurately.

- Meet departmental productivity and quality standards
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive on the plant floor before shift changes to confer with prior shift inspectors regarding production parts and quality alerts
- Perform first-shot inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections according to written instructions
- Examine materials and products for defects; verify dimensions and production consistency
- Reject defective parts and properly document type of defect on part, container, or inspection tag
- Verify labels, packaging, and manufactured parts throughout the shift
- Perform moisture checks on resins and weekly layered process audits
- Train new operators on part quality, packaging, and labeling according to work instructions
- Understand and explain Quality Alerts, Inspection Instructions, and Job-Specific Instructions
- Relieve operators for breaks and lunch periods as needed
- Assist with containment when required
- Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned work area
- Complete, submit, and file all paperwork related to shift quality status in a timely manner
- Follow all MIOSHA safety requirements
- Perform other tasks as requested by management
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of quality inspection experience
- Proficient in reading and understanding instructions, memos, and job documentation
- Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and supervisors
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to apply practical judgment and critical thinking to resolve issues
- Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to safe work practices
- Fluent in English
Physical Demands
- May need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for manipulating objects, twist, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, or crawl
- Engage in verbal communication and close vision tasks; color vision and depth perception required
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
