Material Handler
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Department: Materials
Shift: 2nd (3PM – 11PM)
Pay: $16/hr (Plus $0.50 Shift Premium)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Material Handler to join our team and play a key role in keeping our production lines running smoothly. In this position, you will manage inventory in the stockroom and ensure materials are efficiently moved to support manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store electrical components accurately in the stockroom.
- Maintain stock locations and track material movements in the ERP system.
- Replenish production lines continuously, with a focus on SMT.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness in your work area daily.
- Follow all ESD and equipment safety protocols.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts and support annual physical inventory.
- Record inventory counts, including reels, in the ERP system.
- Assist in identifying causes of inventory discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Supervisor regarding issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Previous experience handling electronics and ESD-sensitive materials.
- Familiarity with warehouse software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
- Experience with inventory counting and tracking.
- Knowledge of specialized storage requirements for sensitive materials.
Physical Requirements / Occupational Exposures:
- Standing and walking 100% of the time.
- Repetitive hand and finger movements.
- Frequent lifting of 1–10 lbs; occasional lifting of 10–25 lbs; rare lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional twisting at the waist.
