Title: Gage Technician
Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour (based on experience) Shift Premium: +15%

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Gage Technician for 3rd shift (11 am – 7 pm) with a +15% shift premium who will be responsible for all phases of programming and calibration of inspection equipment. The Gage Technician will ensure proper metrology is used to monitor conformance to blueprint and, as appropriate, customer-specific and internal procedure requirements for all products and processes.
Primary Function Summary
- Promote lean manufacturing principles and support waste reduction initiatives
- Manage, conduct, and document calibration of all plant gaging and measuring equipment
- Maintain laboratory scope, master parts, challenge parts, and in-line gaging standards
- Coordinate gage downtime, setup, and repairs with production
- Program and support CMM, Contracer, and fixturing systems
- Program and troubleshoot ASI/DataMyte gage software
- Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot fixtures and tooling, including redesign as needed
- Use metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, surface testers, CMMs) for inspection activities
- Collect and analyze in-process data per control plans and identify trends using SPC methods
- Identify nonconforming material, support containment, and participate in corrective actions
- Communicate quality issues, findings, and trends to appropriate personnel
- Complete documentation, reports, and quality records (including PPAP packages)
- Conduct Gage R&R studies and assist with part capability studies
- Support problem-solving activities, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Quality leadership
Qualifications
- Must be able to read blueprints as appropriate
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Manual dexterity sufficient to use designated tools and equipment
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college or manufacturing technical trade-school course work
- Two years of experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment is preferred
- Required: High School or better
