CNC Machinist (1st & 2nd)

Job Title: CNC Machinist (Tool Room)
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $22–$26/hour (based on experience)

Shift Options:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM 
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (15% shift premium) 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to support daily operations within a tool room environment. This role focuses on machining tooling components to tight tolerances, supporting production needs, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and program CNC machines for tooling and component production 

  • Perform machining operations on tooling, dies, and machine details to close tolerances 

  • Ensure quality and accuracy of all machined parts 

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings 

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area 

  • Support daily tool room operations and production needs 

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction) 

  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines 

  • Work overtime as needed to support production demands 

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a CNC machinist in a tooling or tool room environment 

  • Ability to set up and program CNC machines 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings 

  • Experience machining to tight tolerances 

  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards 

  • Comfortable using computers, control panels, and shop equipment 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 

  • High School Diploma or GED required 

  • Technical or trade school training preferred 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally 
  • ​​​​​​​Capable of standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks 
  • ​​​​​​​Comfortable working in a noisy manufacturing environment
