Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 per year

Overview

We are a leading provider in the post-acute and long-term care industry, committed to improving the lives of the patients and communities we serve. We are seeking a Business Development Director to drive growth, strengthen referral partnerships, and support the successful transition of patients across care settings.

This role is ideal for a relationship-driven healthcare professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes through strong clinical and referral partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the patient referral process from review through acceptance to ensure smooth admissions and transitions 
  • Develop and manage relationships with hospital systems, referral sources, and key decision-makers 
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of 5–10 new hospital and healthcare contacts per month 
  • Promote the clinical capabilities and strengths of assigned facilities to referral partners 
  • Align facility services with hospital and system needs to increase referral volume 
  • Manage CRM documentation to ensure accurate tracking of referrals and outcomes 
  • Drive conversion rates of clinically and financially appropriate referrals (target 60%+) 
  • Develop and execute market growth strategies supported by data and analytics 
  • Meet and exceed admissions and sales growth targets, including at least 5% growth per reporting period 
  • Support discharge planning and ensure seamless care transitions for patients 

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of recent clinical or healthcare business development experience required 
  • RN or LPN licensure preferred (not required unless mandated by state regulations) 
  • Valid driver’s license required 
  • Experience working with hospital systems, referral networks, or post-acute care strongly preferred 
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience with CRM systems or similar tracking tools preferred 
  • Strong understanding of clinical care pathways and patient transition processes
