Overview

We are a leading provider in the long-term care industry, committed to improving the lives of the patients and communities we serve through high-quality care and exceptional service. We are seeking a Staff Development Coordinator, RN to support clinical education, staff training, and competency development within the nursing center.

This role is ideal for a clinically experienced RN who is passionate about education, mentoring, and ensuring high standards of care through ongoing staff development and training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement education programs based on staff learning needs 
  • Provide orientation and onboarding for all new nursing personnel 
  • Supervise and support nursing staff throughout their orientation period 
  • Ensure clinical care practices align with federal, state, and facility guidelines 
  • Conduct annual competency evaluations and clinical performance assessments 
  • Identify training needs and deliver targeted education to staff 
  • Support employee health programs, including immunization tracking and compliance 
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership on education and quality improvement initiatives 
  • Promote safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing practices 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of training, competency, and compliance activities 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing 
  • Current RN license required 
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred 
  • At least 2 years of long-term care experience preferred 
  • 1 year of experience in nursing education preferred 
  • Strong clinical nursing skills required 
  • Experience in gerontology preferred 
  • Experience or training in adult learning preferred
