Job Title: Production Supervisor (Plastic Injection Molding)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday (10 hour shifts)
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join a leading automotive manufacturing team specializing in plastic injection molding. This role is responsible for leading production operations, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and supporting team performance on the production floor.
The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience in plastic injection molding and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production employees to meet daily output, quality, and safety goals
- Oversee injection molding processes and ensure adherence to IATF quality standards
- Communicate with management and engineering regarding production schedules and process improvements
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues; implement approved adjustments as needed
- Monitor and maintain processes according to master setup sheets and job documentation
- Complete and review process verification sheets and deviation reports
- Document all process changes per internal procedures
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and functioning efficiently
- Set tools and assist with scheduling as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production floor
- Train and guide employees on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Support continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
- Approve PTO, manage employee relations, and conduct performance reviews
- Ensure effective communication between shifts for smooth operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior supervisory experience in plastic injection molding is REQUIRED
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, documents, and procedures
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, percentages)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve process and production issues
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work with computers and production systems
- Understanding of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- RJG training or experience with e-Dart systems
- Certified Master Molder training
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
