Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $60,000 annually
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage all aspects of the AR function. This role is responsible for tracking outstanding balances, communicating with customers, and ensuring timely collection of payments.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable with high-volume customer communication, and experienced in managing accounts, collections, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and payment tracking
- Monitor assigned accounts to identify outstanding balances and overdue payments
- Contact customers regarding payment status through high-volume phone and email communication
- Negotiate payment terms and arrange payment plans when necessary
- Track and post payments, including preparing bank deposits
- Maintain accurate records in accounting systems, databases, and spreadsheets
- Generate reports related to accounts receivable, profits, and losses
- Create and maintain balance sheets and financial documentation
- Work closely with internal accounting teams to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Utilize accounting and bookkeeping software to manage past-due accounts and reporting
Qualifications
- Experience handling all aspects of accounts receivable required
- Experience with collections and customer account management
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding payments and credit limits
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in accounting/bookkeeping systems
- Experience working with financial reports, spreadsheets, and databases
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize workload
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
