Job Title: Quality Technician / Quality Inspector
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 6:00 AM Start
Pay Rate: $21.00 – $23.00/hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician / Quality Inspector to support aerospace manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for inspecting injection molded components, verifying product conformance, and ensuring all materials meet engineering and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with plastic injection molded parts, blueprint reading, and visual inspection processes, along with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints to determine inspection requirements 
  • Inspect plastic injection molded parts and in-process materials for conformance to specifications 
  • Perform visual inspections and identify defects or non-conforming materials 
  • Use measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions (preferred) 
  • Record inspection data, test results, and maintain accurate quality documentation 
  • Accept or reject parts based on engineering drawings and specifications 
  • Communicate inspection results to production and quality teams 
  • Support problem-solving and corrective action activities 
  • Maintain organized inspection records and documentation 
  • Support quality policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical inspection or quality inspection role 
  • Experience with injection molded parts preferred 
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documentation 
  • Experience with visual inspection and quality standards 
  • Familiarity with micrometers and calipers 
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
