Job Type: Contract-to-hire
Compensation: $700/week (First 90 Days) → Transition to Full Commission Role (No Cap)
Location: Field-Based / Remote (Metro-Detroit Area)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Community Sales Specialist to support advertising sales and community partnership growth. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with local businesses and organizations while helping them increase visibility through community newsletters and a digital resource platform.

This is a relationship-based sales role centered on helping local businesses connect with their communities through ongoing advertising and marketing opportunities. The position begins with a guaranteed weekly base for the first 90 days before transitioning into a full commission structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and connect with local businesses and community organizations 
  • Conduct in-person and remote consultations to present advertising opportunities 
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships 
  • Educate clients on marketing options within newsletters and digital platforms 
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities 
  • Meet and exceed sales goals and performance expectations 
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure smooth campaign execution 
  • Research and identify prospective clients within assigned territories 
  • Follow up with clients to maintain engagement and drive renewals 
  • Represent the company in a professional, community-focused manner 

Compensation Structure:

  • First 90 days: $700/week salary 
  • After 90 days: transition to full commission role (uncapped earning potential) 

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and integrity 
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based and remote-capable sales environment 
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain relationships 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required 
  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment 
  • Sales or customer-facing experience preferred but not required
