Packaging Mechanic
Pay Range: $83,000–$93,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Mechanic to support packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a skilled mechanic with strong packaging equipment experience in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical packaging industry.

The Packaging Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving packaging equipment used in the production of powder and liquid hair care products. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, efficient production line performance, and compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, and FDA requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, troubleshoot, and repair packaging equipment, including form, fill, and seal machines 
• Maintain and repair filling machines, including auger filling, bottle filling, and tube filling equipment 
• Perform preventive maintenance on packaging lines and related equipment 
• Support line changeovers, startups, and production equipment adjustments 
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime 
• Assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements 
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and recurring issues 
• Follow SOPs, cGMPs, FDA requirements, and safety procedures 
• Use shop equipment and tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks 

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of packaging mechanic experience 
• Experience in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical packaging industry required 
• Strong knowledge of packaging machinery, filling equipment, and production line operations 
• Electrical troubleshooting experience required 
• Knowledge of shop equipment and mechanical repair practices 
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs preferred 
• Ability to perform line changeovers, startups, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance 

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $83,000–$93,000, along with a great benefits package.
