  • Rotating Schedule:

    • 3 Days On
    • 2 Days Off
    • 2 Days On
    • 3 Days Off
  • 36 hours one week / 48 hours the next
  • Alternating weekends required
  • Overtime as needed
  • Shift Differential:

    • Additional $1.00/hour for regular hours
    • Additional $0.64/hour for overtime hours

Day Shift (2 Openings)

  • 7:00 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM
  • Schedule flexibility may be required based on production needs

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support a highly automated plastics manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the plant, including injection molding machines, blow molding equipment, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and PLC-controlled machinery.

This is a true industrial maintenance position. Candidates must be comfortable discussing electrical troubleshooting, PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repairs in detail during the interview process. Applicants who cannot explain their troubleshooting process or technical experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Diagnose machine failures and restore equipment to production quickly and safely
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and service manuals
  • Repair and replace motors, bearings, valves, switches, sensors, wiring, conveyors, and electrical components
  • Support machine rebuilds and major maintenance projects
  • Utilize multimeters, testing equipment, and maintenance tools to diagnose equipment issues
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve machine reliability
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • Participate in on-call and overtime coverage when required

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience using multimeters and other diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and repair processes clearly

Highly Preferred Experience

  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read PLC logic and assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems
  • Experience with injection molding or blow molding equipment
  • Industrial Electrician License
  • Experience with automation systems and controls

Interview Expectations

The hiring manager will conduct a detailed technical interview. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate and discuss:

  • Electrical troubleshooting methodology
  • Mechanical troubleshooting methodology
  • Multimeter usage and electrical testing procedures
  • PLC troubleshooting knowledge
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting
  • Advanced mechanical repair experience
  • Step-by-step explanations of diagnosing equipment failures
  • Examples of repairs performed on production equipment
  • Root cause analysis and corrective actions implemented

Candidates who can clearly explain how they diagnose and repair equipment issues will be given strong consideration.
