Pay: Based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Flexible scheduling may be available based on individual needs. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet production deadlines.)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Manual Machinist to join a growing machine shop serving a variety of industrial sectors. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining manual lathes and milling machines while producing high-quality precision components from engineering drawings and blueprints. Candidates with CNC programming knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision components. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and samples. 
  • Take accurate measurements to ensure parts meet specifications. 
  • Select appropriate tooling, machine settings, and machining methods for each job. 
  • Plan the sequence of operations to maximize efficiency and quality. 
  • Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to feeds, speeds, and machine settings. 
  • Inspect finished parts to verify quality and dimensional accuracy. 
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs as needed. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
  • Assist with additional shop duties and support team production goals. 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating manual lathes and milling machines in a machine shop environment. 
  • CNC programming knowledge is required. 
  • Experience with ProtoTrak controls is a plus but not required; training will be provided. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. 
  • Basic computer proficiency. 
  • Solid math skills. 
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
