Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Foam Skiver to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for building seat foam models and reworking foam components as needed. Candidates with manufacturing experience and/or education in blueprint reading who are motivated to learn are encouraged to apply.

Who Would Be a Good Fit?

If you have experienced Foam Skivers or candidates who are comfortable using handheld grinders, Dremel-style tools, and other power hand tools, send them our way! This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on, detail-oriented work and is comfortable working independently in a production environment. Candidates who enjoy listening to music or podcasts while working may especially enjoy the focused, repetitive nature of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret full-scale drawings containing specifications for foam material, size, shape, and required features. 
  • Select appropriate templates based on drawing specifications. 
  • Select and prepare foam to build models or rework existing foam components. 
  • Use power hand tools and handheld grinders to shape and modify foam. 
  • Ensure work meets quality and production requirements. 
  • Support compliance with company quality policies and procedures. 
  • Work independently while following instructions and production specifications. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Blueprint reading experience required. 
  • Manufacturing experience preferred. 
  • Ability to safely and effectively use power hand tools. 
  • Ability to accurately operate handheld grinders. 
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with periods of sitting and standing. 
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Willingness to ask questions and seek direction when needed. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific measurements and specifications.
