Corporate Buyer

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $25–$35 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Corporate Buyer to join our purchasing team. This role will focus on managing MRP-driven and manual requisitions, supplier certifications, purchase orders, and supplier negotiations.

Our current team has three buyers, and we are looking to split and segregate responsibilities across the team. Candidates may be considered for multiple purchasing roles depending on their specific skill set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage MRP-driven and manual purchase requisitions
  • Process and manage purchase orders
  • Obtain and maintain supplier certifications
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding purchasing requirements
  • Support supplier negotiations
  • Spend time on the shop floor to understand and support purchasing needs
  • Work proactively to address purchasing requirements and potential issues
  • Support planning and forecasting activities as needed
  • Maintain accurate purchasing information and documentation

Qualifications

  • Previous purchasing or buying experience preferred
  • Hands-on and proactive approach
  • Comfortable spending time on the shop floor
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through on purchasing needs
  • Planning and forecasting experience is a major plus
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements

Systems

  • ERP experience preferred
  • Epicor training will be provided
