Flowforming Specialist

  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM — 15% shift premium

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Flowforming Specialist to support CNC flowforming and machining operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment and processes, maintaining dimensional requirements, supporting CNC programming and tooling improvements, and driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and support Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Participate in the elimination of waste and continuous improvement activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices.
  • Follow established maintenance systems and documentation procedures.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks as required.
  • Complete work orders, corrective actions, and equipment improvements.
  • Troubleshoot flowforming operations and resolve dimensional and process issues.
  • Repair and modify CNC programs to maintain required dimensional specifications.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles to CNC machining processes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
  • Read and understand inspection reports.
  • Understand machine functions and process flow.
  • Understand part programming and CNC programming fundamentals.
  • Assist with programming new parts.
  • Support process elimination and improvement activities.
  • Report directly to the Tooling Supervisor.
  • Work with Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, Managers, and Team Leads as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CNC programming modifications and tooling improvements.
  • Ability to use computers, printers, calculators, and machine control panels.
  • Ability to interpret CMM or gaging information and adjust CNC programs and mechanical attributes within flowforming equipment.
  • Understanding of CNC machining processes and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand inspection reports.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with production employees.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to perform work requiring standing, sitting, lifting, bending, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to work necessary overtime when required.
