Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Pay: $25.00+/hour, based on experience + 10% shift premium

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support 2nd shift manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment, particularly thread rolling, National Machinery equipment, PLCs, eddy current systems, and cold forming machinery.

This is a hands-on maintenance position requiring someone who is comfortable working around and inside industrial machinery to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot thread rolling and cold forming equipment.
  • Work with National Machinery equipment and related manufacturing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain eddy current inspection systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
  • Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
  • Work closely with production personnel to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment issues as needed.
  • Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Use proper PPE and safe work practices at all times.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Experience with thread rolling equipment.
  • Experience with National Machinery equipment preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs.
  • Experience with eddy current systems preferred.
  • Experience with cold forming equipment highly preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and equipment documentation.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically capable of working around and crawling inside/under industrial machinery when required for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, twist, climb, and work in confined or difficult-to-access areas.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, tools, and parts as required.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, vibration, and repetitive movement.

Compensation & Schedule

$25.00+/hour based on experience
+ 10% 2nd Shift Premium
