Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Mill Operator to support daily manufacturing operations. This position will operate and monitor milling equipment, maintain production requirements, inspect finished products, and follow established safety and quality procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working with measurements, production specifications, and hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor mill machinery according to established procedures and production requirements.
- Set up and adjust equipment as needed for production runs.
- Load and unload materials and finished products.
- Monitor machine operation and make basic adjustments to maintain production requirements.
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Read and follow work instructions, production documents, and specifications.
- Use measuring tools to verify product dimensions as required.
- Identify equipment, material, or quality issues and notify appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Work with supervisors, quality personnel, maintenance, and other production employees to resolve issues.
- Meet daily production and quality requirements.
- Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating mills or industrial manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic measuring equipment.
- Basic math skills, including measurements and fractions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical manufacturing duties.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Previous experience in a CNC, machining, fabrication, or metal manufacturing environment is a plus.
