Position Summary
We are seeking a PLC Technician / Programmer with hands-on Rockwell PLC programming experience and familiarity with PaintWorks software. This role will support offline programming activities for an automotive production system using software templates provided for the project.
Responsibilities
- Perform offline PLC programming and software engineering activities.
- Program and modify Rockwell PLC systems.
- Work with PaintWorks software as part of the automation system.
- Utilize project templates provided for the PLC and PaintWorks software.
- Review existing software and make programming modifications as required.
- Support system development and preparation for the scheduled modification build.
- Follow project specifications, drawings, software requirements, and schedules.
- Troubleshoot programming issues and support software integration.
- Maintain accurate programming documentation and project records.
- Work with engineering and automation teams to complete project requirements on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on Rockwell PLC programming experience.
- Experience working with PaintWorks.
- PLC software development or modification experience.
- Ability to perform offline programming.
- Ability to understand and work from technical specifications and project documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting PLC/software issues.
- Ability to work independently and meet project schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive manufacturing or automation background.
- Experience with FANUC automation systems.
- Experience supporting paint or coating automation systems.
- Experience working with pre-developed PLC/software templates.
- Previous experience with large-scale manufacturing automation projects.
