Normal Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Current Production Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–5:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Saturday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a Plastic Fabricator to join our Production team. This position is responsible for fabricating and assembling plastic components and assemblies from blueprints, performing hand and extrusion welding, and using a variety of hand and power tools to complete finished products.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working from blueprints, using measuring tools, welding plastic materials, and maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up assemblies from blueprints.
- Read and interpret blueprints and use a tape measure.
- Perform hand and extrusion welding on plastic materials including:
- Polypropylene
- PVC
- PVDF
- HDPE
- CPVC
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, including:
- Router
- Sander
- Jigsaw
- Mitre saw
- Drill
- Wrenches
- Hammer
- Chisel
- Bandsaw
- Side cutters
- Maintain responsibility for quality, work methods, safety, and good housekeeping.
- Identify and report defective materials or workmanship to the Group Leader or Production Manager.
- Follow established safety and production procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in plastic fabrication, plastic welding, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to use a tape measure and basic measuring tools.
- Hands-on experience using hand and power tools.
- Experience with plastic welding preferred.
- Ability to work with different types of plastic materials.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow established work methods.
- Ability to identify quality issues and defective materials.
- Safety-conscious with good housekeeping practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the required schedule.
Schedule
Normal 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Due to current production demands, the schedule is presently:
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Saturday–Sunday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
This is a day-shift production position.
