Janitorial / Facility Cleaning Associate & Non-CDL Driver

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Janitorial / Facility Cleaning Associate & Non-CDL Driver to support daily facility cleaning and local transportation operations within a manufacturing environment.

This full-time position combines janitorial and facility maintenance responsibilities with non-CDL driving duties, including transporting materials, parts, and finished products as needed.

The ideal candidate will have commercial or industrial cleaning experience, a valid driver's license, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to balance facility upkeep with scheduled driving assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Janitorial & Facility Cleaning

• Clean and maintain employee lunchrooms, breakrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility, including manufacturing shop aisles and walkways.
• Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste materials.
• Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, desks, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms with necessary supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and debris-free shop aisles, walkways, and designated work areas.
• Monitor inventory and replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, and facility necessities.
• Operate basic cleaning equipment and safely handle cleaning products.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or facility issues.
• Follow established cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.

Non-CDL Driving & Transportation

• Operate a company truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of up to 26,000 lbs., provided the vehicle and operation do not require a CDL.
• Transport materials, parts, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.
• Complete local pickups and deliveries according to assigned schedules.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and properly securing transported materials.
• Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, paperwork, and transportation documentation.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns, mechanical issues, or safety hazards.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Assist with additional facility and manufacturing support duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous non-CDL delivery driving, transportation, or material handling experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to safely operate a non-CDL company truck.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, sanitation procedures, and cleaning products.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and secure materials for transportation.
• Ability to read and follow delivery instructions, work orders, and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities between cleaning and driving assignments.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional communication.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials.
• Willingness to perform both janitorial and driving responsibilities as part of the regular workday.

Additional Position Details

• Full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity.
• Responsibilities will be divided between facility cleaning and non-CDL driving based on daily operational needs.
• Work will be performed within a manufacturing facility and during assigned local transportation routes.
• CDL not required.
• Candidates must be comfortable performing both cleaning and driving duties as essential functions of the position.
