Entry Level Logsitics Position 

This position has responsibility for managing the day to day logistics and transportation needs of a specific customer. This role will involve communicating with carriers, vendors, and customers to provide the most cost effective and efficient services.
 
Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage the logistical, warehousing and transportation needs of the customer
  • Develop and build strong working relations with carriers
  • Perform daily tasks such as creating accurate work orders and packing lists
  • Maintain customer’s internal logistics calendar and external schedule for deliveries as well as coordinate with internal departments on all movement of loads and ensure timing is lined up with customer and vendor expectations.
  • Understand the urgency per load and be able to prioritize pickups
  • Exhibit good judgment and the ability to make quick decisions in support of the workload demands
  • Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service when dealing with vendors and customers. Logistics Coordinator will set pick up and drop off appointments directly with the customer and vendors. Coordinator is expected to always be courteous and professional.
Qualifications (Education/Training, Skills and Experience)
 
Education/Training:
  • Degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred, but we will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to produce results while working independently
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Above average desktop computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite
  • Strong, professional communication and interpersonal skills
Experience
  • At least 1 year, preferably logistics and/or transportation industry experience
Shift:
  • Noon-9:00 pm- Available for Weekends As Well
 
Base Salary with Commission Program
