Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Designer Specific Duties:
  • Apply knowledge of machine and process control systems utilized in Company production facilities.
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot machine and process control systems.
  • Work collaboratively with other Engineering groups and the Company Machinery Manufacturing Division to efficiently assemble and test electrical controls.
  • Modify or develop new hardware designs for control systems that improve the Safety, Quality, or Efficiency of machines and processes.
  • Modify or develop new software programs for control systems that improve the Safety, Quality, or Efficiency of machines and processes.
  • Create AutoCAD drawings to assist in assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to the development of operator’s and maintenance manuals, spare part recommendations, training information and safety procedures for electrical controls.
  • Travel to production facilities for machine installations, machine startups, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical controls.
  • Create project requests and justifications for solving problems, improving designs, and addressing plant requests related to electrical controls.
  • Participate in Design Reviews for assigned projects.

Requirements and Qualifications:
 
  • Requires experience including hands-on troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading electrical equipment.
  • Experience working with Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Requires good verbal and written communication skills, prefer strong
  • Requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and/or internationally
  • Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and a favorable motor vehicle report
  • Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a passport.
  • Prefer experience using HMI, Ladder Logic, PLC or LabVIEW.
