The Embedded Software Process and Tools Engineer is responsible for defining corporate software engineering development processes utilizing model based design to support overall product development. This position will develop a common tooling strategy for the software development process including PLM solutions and data models to support robust requirements engineering and validation processes.

Responsibilities:
Initiates and fosters team wide activities in learning and adopting new state of art technologies for automotive embedded systems, tools and testing. Creation and application of software process and tool metrics. Improvement of software test cases, methods and documentation.Identifies product development requirements and performance issues.Excel in using agile development process for modeling and reporting Continuously improve software tools process by enhancing requirements and process metrics based on lessons learned. 

Skills Required: 
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science.
  • 3+ years/, experience developing and delivering production embedded software (e.g. Infotainment, Cluster, Powertrain)
  • 2 years of experience with IDEs and requirements and software management tools (Eclipse, DOORS)
  • 1+ year of experience with Automotive SPICE, CMM, or other software development process models
  • 1+ year of experience with industry standard S/W tools (e.g. UML, SysML , Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow) 1+ year of experience with C and C++ Embedded Software development and integration, and with 8/16/32 bit micro controllers
Skills Preferred: 
  • Masters Degree a plus
  • Experience in automotive applications and applicable interfaces such as CAN, FlexRay and LIN networks Experience with Agile process
