Responsibilities: 
Professional position utilizing experience to validate injection tool designs.Responsible for delivering injection mold tooling for the program by working with Tool Shops and Part Suppliers globally. Responsible for meeting Tooling Milestones and Program Deliverables. Work with Design Studio, D&R's and CAD designers to ensure part designs are tooling feasible. Utilize design tools such as CAE and Dimensional Tolerance to develop efficient tool designs. Resolve mitigate tooling issues (Technical, Timing and Cost). Participate and support  R&D tooling projects. Develop Manufacturing and Tooling Statement of Work and Standards. Ability to work independently and within a cross functional team. WIling to travel to global part suppliers and tool shops. 

Skills Required: 
  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years tooling experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Automotive Injection Mold Construction
  • 5+ years of experience in injection mold tool design, mold material and injection mold processing
  • 5+ years of experience in part design and tooling feasibility
  • 5+ years of experience in CAE / Moldflow analysis and resin types
  • 5+ years of experience working with Tool Shops and D&R's for in-house designed Interior parts 
Skills Preferred: 
  • 10+ years of Mold Manufacturing Tool Shop experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Automotive Injection Mold Construction 
  • Celia v5 and/or tool design software knowledge Understanding of GD&T as it relates to tool design / tool construction
  • Understanding of tooling cost and tool timing
