Assistant Business Office Manager

Compensation: $17 – $20 per hour

We are seeking an Assistant Business Office Manager to support business office operations and ensure accurate financial, billing, and census processes within the facility.
This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is interested in supporting both financial operations and patient/resident services.
Responsibilities
- Support nursing center business office operations to meet financial and census goals
- Assist with billing, accounts receivable, and Medicaid application tracking
- Help manage resident trust funds and maintain confidential financial records
- Support collections processes and ensure accuracy of resident account balances
- Coordinate with centralized billing teams, leadership, families, and external agencies
- Meet with patients/residents at admission and discharge to explain financial obligations
- Ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations and documentation standards
- Assist Business Office Manager and Revenue Cycle leadership as needed
- Maintain organized financial records and support reporting requirements
- Contribute to efficient and accurate revenue cycle operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in long-term care billing and collections preferred
- Additional coursework in accounting or finance recommended
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive financial information
- Strong communication skills for interaction with families, staff, and external agencies
- Experience with billing systems or financial software preferred
