High School Engineering Teacher

Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled High School Engineering Teacher to lead engaging, hands-on instruction in engineering and STEM-related courses. This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire students, foster critical thinking, and prepare them for future careers in engineering and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a project-based curriculum aligned with state and national engineering standards.
  • Teach courses such as robotics, CAD, manufacturing systems, and other STEM-related subjects.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools and software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks to enhance learning.
  • Guide students in collaborative projects, competitions, and extracurricular STEM activities.
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to ensure curriculum relevance and effectiveness.
  • Create a classroom environment that promotes creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • Stay informed on advancements in STEM education and engineering to enhance teaching methods.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and their practical applications.
  • Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
  • Passion for mentoring and motivating high school students.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
  • A degree in Engineering, Education, or a related STEM field is preferred but not required.
