The Project Engineer will be responsible for overall project engineering and management, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. This includes managing scope of supply, customer communication, engineering documentation, scheduling, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The role involves directing, coordinating, and overseeing the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects.
Review project scope of supply and provide contractual and technical direction.
Guide the drafting department on drawings and support purchasing and production for material procurement and final build, testing, and shipping.
Create and manage the bill of materials (BOM), including detailed notes and procedures for construction and testing.
Review and approve engineering design documents, ensuring alignment with job requirements and project scope.
Maintain document submittal and release schedules.
Organize and control project scope and requirements, tracking cost and delivery impacts while updating relevant departments.
Resolve customer and engineering company concerns, ensuring clear project specifications and scope.
Educate customers within the company’s scope of supply to support mutual product understanding.
Assess project workload, prioritize tasks, and manage project deadlines.
Select and size sub-supplier components, conduct technical studies, and prepare cost estimates for budget comparison.
Lead meetings with company teams, customers, and inspectors both in person and via phone/video conference.
Serve as the main point of contact for all assigned projects.
Develop test and inspection procedures to verify product performance.
Design structural supports for skid-mounted equipment.
Provide expertise and problem-solving for complex designs and project challenges.
Manage project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
Control project costs by approving expenditures and administering contract changes.

5+ years of related experience as a project engineer, preferably with lube oil systems, ASME piping, and API 614.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively via email, phone, and in person.

Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
2D and 3D drafting/modeling experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Experience performing structural analysis using FEA software like SolidWorks Simulation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP Business One.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
