Job Summary:
Seeking an Outside Plant (OSP) Telecommunications Planner with civil drafting experience to assist in route planning and plan production for OSP fiber infrastructure. This role focuses on route planning, AutoCAD Civil 3D plan production, and permit acquisition from local municipalities. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to client needs, provide innovative solutions, meet deadlines, and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed project drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D during planning and design phases.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely completion of drawings.
- Select and interpret data on a map-based platform such as Esri or Google Earth.
- Ensure designs meet local municipal standards and specifications.
- Interpret utility records and Michigan's MISSDIG system.
- Adapt AutoCAD requirements to different client needs.
- Conduct QA/QC on drawing files.
- Coordinate project deadlines with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers.
- Track and document project milestones.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in AutoCAD drafting or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of AutoCAD Civil experience.
- Experience with MDOT and MicroStation is a plus.
- Preferred experience in CATV, telecom, or utility OSP planning/construction.
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, and technical documents.
- Primarily office-based, with occasional travel or fieldwork as needed.
