Warehouse Associate
We have a position open for an experienced Warehouse Associate who can hit the ground running. If you are looking for a great opportunity, this is it!
Type: 6-months Contract-to-hire
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Load and unload incoming trucks.
Receive and unpack UPS shipments daily.
Process all receipts through ERP computer system.
Check all made-to-order parts with corresponding print for errors.
Properly label all incoming parts with company-issued part numbers for identification.
Route all received parts to proper destination (i.e., job boxes, electrical department, fabrication department, inventory, machining, etc.).
Retrieve needed parts from inventory for builders.
Route machined parts through machine shop and into final job box.
Work with purchasing department to send any machined parts out to vendors for specialized machining.
Close all machined parts routers through ERP computer system.
Work with purchasing department to resolve any issues with shipments.
Create job boxes and process pull tickets.
Stage job boxes to build department when prompted.
File and maintain all packing slips.
Maintain a neat and organized warehouse.
Work with Parts and Service department on skidding and wrapping all pallets to be shipped.
Work closely with warehouse manager on all needs regarding warehouse functions.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists co-workers whenever necessary.
Requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time. May require lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
May be required to perform any duties assigned or requested for efficient operation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or successful completion of the GED required.
Prior experience is required.
Forklift experience.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
Basic reading and writing skills are required.
Basic computer skills are required.
Must have a good understanding of basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
