Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Transmission Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading the design and coordination of high and extra-high voltage (69-500kV) transmission line projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Design high and extra-high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
- Prepare construction documents, including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly drawings.
- Develop specifications and project design criteria.
- Provide on-site field support during construction.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- HVDC experience is a plus.
- Travel to client or project locations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program.
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering may substitute for one year of experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of transmission line design experience.
- Proficiency in scheduling and budgeting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior consulting or utility experience is preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Ability to travel and work in the field as required.
