Civil Drafter

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Drafter with expertise in civil or utility design using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role involves preparing detailed project drawings for road and utility projects and supporting clients and team members throughout the design process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed project drawings during planning and design phases.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Technicians to meet schedules.
• Develop permit drawing sets, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and notes.
• Ensure compliance with AutoCAD requirements for various clients and internal standards.
• Perform QA/QC on drawing files.
• Coordinate project deadlines with the project team.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in AutoCAD drafting or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of AutoCAD Civil experience.
• MDOT and MicroStation experience preferred.
• Strong technical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry practices and regulations.
• Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Interpret sketches, drawings, and building programs.
• Primarily office-based, with occasional travel or fieldwork as needed.
