Pipe Welder / Fitter

Job Title: Pipe Welder / Fitter
Pay: $25 – $29/hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled Pipe Welders/Fitters to fabricate, assemble, and weld carbon and stainless steel pipe systems. The ideal candidate must pass a 6G welding test and work efficiently both independently and alongside other skilled tradesmen to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabrication:

  • TIG weld, MIG weld, and flame cut carbon and stainless steel pipe

  • Interpret work orders, specifications, shop drawings, and construction notes

  • Build and assemble simple and complex pipe assemblies, including hangers

  • Join pipe systems via welding, threading, bolting, or other mechanical methods

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and follow production processes

  • Perform repairs or rework as necessary for non-conforming products

  • Complete Inspection Records, attach MTRs, red-line drawings, and resolve punch list items

  • Communicate daily project status, progress, and parts issues to Pipefitter Leader

  • Record hours worked in Epicor manufacturing software

Material Control:

  • Review projects with Pipe Fitter Leader and submit requisitions for missing parts, materials, and consumables

  • Use materials primarily from stock as required

  • Restock hardware and clear work areas upon project completion

  • Maintain tool cabinet inventory

General Duties:

  • Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and product quality

  • Follow safety policies and accidental injury guidelines

  • Shutdown and secure work area at end of shift

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must pass 6G welding test

  • Experience TIG and MIG welding on carbon and stainless steel pipe

  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, work orders, and shop drawings

  • Familiarity with safety procedures and ISO 9001 quality standards
