This role involves managing all aspects of project development and implementation, from initial concept to final commissioning. The focus will be on rigging and machine installation projects for industrial and automotive clients. The Project Manager II ensures safety, quality, and schedule adherence while managing the project team and maintaining high communication standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety:
- Engage actively in daily safety activities.
- Implement safety plans to ensure a “we care” culture where everyone returns home safely.
- Continuously learn and improve safety practices on projects.
People:
- Coordinate architects, subcontractors, consultants, and other team members to resolve project challenges.
- Lead team meetings to align design and construction efforts.
- Build and empower high-performing teams, coach team members, and support career development programs.
- Mentor assistant project managers and project engineers.
Quality:
- Ensure comprehensive understanding of contract documents and enforce compliance.
- Lead quality management processes and recommend materials and methods for improved outcomes.
Schedule:
- Oversee master scheduling, production planning, and milestone tracking.
- Conduct coordination meetings and manage supply chain procurement to align with timelines.
Cost:
- Negotiate change orders, manage budget expectations, and provide cost estimates.
- Lead budget-specific sections and deliver clear scopes of work to internal and external stakeholders.
Risk:
- Manage contracts, develop trade scopes of work, and ensure compliance during close-out processes.
- Participate in risk analysis and take corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in rigging and machine installation.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in O365 and other relevant software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed (up to 25%).
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally and work in various conditions, including confined spaces and construction sites.
- Regular exposure to loud environments and potential overtime or weekend work.
- Use of personal protective equipment may be required.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this role is $107,320 - $141,826 annually, dependent on qualifications, experience, and location.
Location:
This position is based in Wixom, MI, with up to 25% travel required.
