Role Overview
As an Entry-Level Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will transform raw materials into high-precision components using both hands-on craftsmanship and advanced fabrication equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials to exact specifications using hand tools and equipment like shears and press brakes.
- Joining Materials: Accurately join components via welding, riveting, bolting, and soldering.
- Precision Layout: Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and diagrams to plan fabrication sequences accurately.
- ERP Documentation: Log work orders, track material usage, and document production progress using ERP systems.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for flaws or defects to meet aerospace and defense standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Attention to detail to ensure fine tolerances and high-quality finishes
- Strong problem-solving to troubleshoot alignment issues in a fast-paced environment
- Physical dexterity and stamina to handle metal materials (40+ lbs.) and stand for long shifts
- Effective verbal and written communication to work with engineering and production teams
- Basic computer proficiency to navigate manufacturing software and digital work instructions
