Pay: $120,000–$140,000 per year

A well-established global automotive supplier is seeking an experienced and driven Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead operations at a new, state-of-the-art technical center and manufacturing facility. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading all manufacturing engineering and maintenance functions. You’ll oversee a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. A key part of the role includes managing the maintenance department and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, safety, and quality
Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate new products and technologies into manufacturing
Evaluate and improve existing processes using lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices
Track manufacturing KPIs such as cycle time, scrap rates, and equipment uptime
Oversee preventive maintenance and repair for all production equipment
Work closely with equipment vendors during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Manage vendor relationships and technical resources
Control and manage the engineering and maintenance budgets
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s a plus)
At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within the automotive industry
Experience managing maintenance teams, systems, and preventive maintenance programs in a manufacturing environment
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes for powertrain and electric vehicle components
Skilled in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement techniques
Proven leadership in managing teams and cross-functional project execution
Strong analytical, communication, and project management abilities
Experience with CAD and manufacturing software
Knowledge of automotive industry standards and safety protocols
